Ioannis Charalampopoulos has graduated from the Law School of Athens in 2016 and holds two postgraduates law degrees; a Master in Corporate Law & Corporate Finance Law (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, 2018) as well as a Master of Laws with specialization in International Financial Law and IP Law from the University of Cambridge (2020). He speaks Greek and English.

Mr. Charalampopoulos specializes in Corporate Law and Financial Law and advises in a wide range of corporate and finance transactions including public and private M&As, disposals, demergers, joint ventures, restructurings, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on complex, cross-border transactions and bond loan agreements, as well as project finance transactions with focus on renewable energy. He provides the firm’s clients with on going legal advice on everyday operational, organizational, financing and investment matters, including the structuring and handling of cross border services. Among other things, he advises clients in connection with the acquisition of projects in Greece, including entry and exit strategies, regulatory and legalization matters, issues related to financing and registration of long terms leases, incentive legislation, schemes for the upstream flow of revenue to the investors and structuring of side agreements.
