Machas & Partners Law Firm had the pleasure of participating in the Employment Law Conference, organized by BOUSSIAS Events, as a supporting sponsor, promoting a constructive dialogue on HR and Legal collaboration within the business environment.
At a time of significant transformation in the labor framework in Greece, driven by the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and the use of AI Agents in HR and legal practices, the discussion focused on the implications for implementing and complying with GDPR, the EU AI Act, and critical ethical considerations. Key topics also included the upcoming changes to collective labor agreements and the implementation of Directive (EU) 2023/970 on pay transparency and equal pay.
These developments raise important questions around how HR and Legal teams can work together to create a work environment that ensures transparency, compliance, and security for the workforce.
A highlight of the conference was the contribution of our Associate, Sofia Chrysakopoulou, joining a dynamic panel with Sophia Papaioannou, HR Director at Plaisio and Iosif Errera, HR Director at Brink’s Inc, moderated by Panagiotis Marketos, Business Editor & Conference Moderator.
The discussion explored the reshaping of work models through flexible working hours, remote work, the four-day workweek and the implementation of the digital work card. It also highlighted the strategic and expanded role of HR and Legal teams in ensuring compliance with labor law while adapting to the new workplace reality.
We would like to thank Boussias Events and all participants for the high-quality discussions and the valuable exchange of perspectives.
