Machas & Partners Law Firm advised on the successful completion of a cross-border merger involving the absorption of a Cypriot entity by a Greek company.
The transaction was completed in accordance with the recently introduced framework of Greek Law 5055/2023 on cross-border transformations and Greek Tax Law 5162/2024 on tax incentives related to restructurings, and involved the careful alignment of corporate, regulatory, and tax considerations across both jurisdictions.
Our team provided comprehensive, end-to-end support, from initial structuring through to final implementation, working in close collaboration with Cypriot counsel.
The matter was led by Partner, Head of Corporate and M&A, Ioannis Charalampopoulos, with support from Associate, Giorgos Tsirogiannis.
